Covid-19 Secure Workplace Guidelines

The health and safety of both practitioner, Sally Forgham and clients of Equilibrium Reflexology, The Garden room, Burbage are my utmost priority. I aim to provide the highest safety and hygiene standards to protect your wellbeing whilst in my care.

I am closely monitoring the advice from the government and my association, Professional Reflexology (PR), and have made some changes in how I will operate under their best guidance:

  • Government Guidelines advise that all clients should wear a mask for close contact treatments. Please bring one with you.
  • Children will not be required to wear one.
  • I have introduced a hand sanitising station, please use this on the way in and on the way out.
  • Please be advised to use a toilet before arrival, however there is a toilet available if necessary.
  • Cleaning of all commonly touched surfaces will be carried out in between each client and a thorough clean at the end of each day.

If you are unwell you are advised to postpone your appointment until you are symptom-free and no longer required to self-isolate. Please contact me as soon as possible to advise that you will not be attending.

Please ensure the following is adhered to when arriving for your face-to-face appointment.

Before your appointment:

Please wear suitable clothing to ensure your comfort, with layers to add/remove if needed (Please be aware that your temperature can sometimes drop during treatment).

I am committed to your comfort while you are with me, so ask that you bring your own water bottle, it is important to stay hydrated throughout and following the session.

The number of personal possessions brought into the space should be minimised and you will be asked to leave these in the annexe where possible.

Children under 16 years who are receiving treatment will need to be accompanied by one parent/guardian throughout the appointment. Any person present during the appointment will need to adhere to all Covid-19 guidelines as set out in this document.

Please make payment in advance, either by bank transfer or by debit / credit card to minimise handling of money / cards on the day. Details will be included in your reminder email.

Please see below details outlining the guidelines for your face-to-face appointment.

Please wear your face mask upon entering the treatment room.

Please use hand sanitiser on the way in and on the way out.

Please take a seat on the treatment couch, which has a wipeable non-porous cover with padding underneath and will be sanitised between every client. Couch roll will also be used and disposed of immediately after your session.

Completion of client checklist pre and post treatment is necessary, this is required for my insurance purposes.

The window will be open, if weather allows, to increase ventilation and the room will be aired between clients.

Soft furnishings in general have been removed, but there will be a small lightweight blanket available in case needed for your comfort, and I will remove safely for washing after each use.

Appointments are spaced to allow cleaning and airing between each client so please be mindful of your allotted time.

After your appointment:

Follow Ups: Any follow-up information will be sent via email to avoid the passing of paper notes.

I will carry out deep cleansing using recommended detergent and cloths, which will take place between appointments as required. An additional deep clean will take place at the end of each day.
